THIS IS ME
“A Book is closed until you open it. ”
“Motion Pictures on my TV screen - a home away from home and I’m living in between...”
Traveling the world with my family infused my curiosity with imagination. Foreign languages allowed me to completely lose myself and imitate people on a whole new level. I loved it. From performing in front of the mirror or in front of my numerous aunts and uncles at Christmas to literally every theater play my school or community produced. I also found joy in singing from an early age on. From children’s records at the age of six to my first lead in a French musical and occasionally jumping in as lead or background singer on stage for my Dad's rock band. Thanks to my mother‘s willpower, I also persevered in learning to play classical piano for over a decade while secretly working my way through my father's vast record collection. Every once in a while, I wrote sequels of my favorite children's books, true story, - not sure they will ever see the light of day.
I grew up in the German countryside and have lived, studied and worked in many places, from Germany to France to Argentina and the U.S. Mostly though, I enjoy being in nature and outdoors, trying out a new sport or learning how to drive a boat just as much as learning about foreign culture and its history. I am an explorer by heart, I love to celebrate life with friends and family. And if you tell me something is off limits, you bet I'll prove you wrong.
Movies cleanse the soul. ...from the beginning to the end, through the chaos to the comfort of sitting in the dark waiting for the curtain to rise... from having a vision to connecting with a team, being in the flow, overcoming obstacles and finally succeeding... As an actor, movement and voice and dreamwork just as much as mythology and space and consciousness are my favorite subjects to dive into. So quite naturally, at night I can be found indulging in a good book, watching the night sky or mingling amongst those bright city lights with all their secrets and stories. I like going into the darkness to find that bright light and rise with it. It's true, after winter always comes spring... so maybe no coincidence that my last name is the German poetic version for exactly that: spring!
